Staked AMPL (stAMPL)

Staked AMPL (stAMPL) is a high-volatility AMPL-based derivative that functions as a liquid staking token.

stAMPL represents a holder's position in the Rotation Vault, taking on the forgone volatility of SPOT, which gives stAMPL leveraged exposure to AMPL's normal rebase. Because of this leveraged exposure, stAMPL is not non-dilutive in terms of network ownership when compared to naked AMPL positions.

During positive rebase cycles, stAMPL is capturing the rebase gains like normal AMPL in addition to the rebase gains that are forgone by SPOT holders. Essentially, stAMPL holders take on the additional risk of enhanced volatility to secure SPOT in exchange for additional growth.

Like AMPL and SPOT, stAMPL also features a free-floating price, though as of Q1 2024, no markets for stAMPL have been built yet.
